Hey Bob — Thanks for sharing! Some of the places folks purchase blight resistant, commercially producing trees from in the region include:

Shaker Creek Farm:https://www.shakercreekfarm.com/

Twisted Tree Farm: http://www.twisted-tree.net/

Red Fern Farm: http://www.redfernfarm.com/index.php/shop/

New Forest Farm: https://newforestfarm.us/

Note that I wrote this blog for folks who are already involved in the agroforestry community, and what it leaves out is an articulation of the very nuanced difference between chestnut growers interested in commercial production (who are using blight resistance chinese varieties, or hybridized chinese-american varieties), compared to the very large and important community of folks working on American Chestnut restoration who are not necessarily interested in commercial food production. I am not an expert on genetics so there is some nuance here, but just note that if you are looking to to grow chestnuts for food you may be in better shape buying varieties specifically from growers who operate established orchards for commercial production of nuts.

Feel free to send an email at earthculturesnortheast@gmail.com if you want to keep talking!
